In November 2016, Geneva Call gathered 21 armed movements from 11 countries, including Burma/Myanmar, Colombia, Syria and Yemen, as well as leading humanitarian agencies for an unprecedented meeting on how to better protect children and education in armed conflict and avoid the use of child soldiers.

Conference report. From 17 to 20 November 2014, Geneva Call held its Third Meeting of Signatories to the Deeds of Commitment in Geneva. This gathered 70 high-level representatives – political leaders, commanders, officers and legal advisers – of 36 armed non-State actors (ANSAs) from 14 different countries, including Syria, Burma/Myanmar, Sudan, Philippines and Somalia. Most were signatories to at least one of Geneva Call’s Deeds of Commitment, but some non-signatory ANSAs also attended.
