In situations of armed conflict, Geneva Call, as a neutral, impartial and independent international humanitarian foundation, endeavors to strengthen the respect of humanitarian norms and principles by armed non-State actors, in order to improve the protection of civilians, while supporting local communities in their efforts to enhance their own protection. Appel de Genève/Geneva Call is a private, not-for-profit, humanitarian foundation under Swiss law, founded in 1998.

Geneva Call has been working in the Philippines since 2000 to promote humanitarian norms among armed actors and communities. Most recently, a campaign called ‘conflict has rules too’ was launched to raise awareness of these norms more broadly. In 2018, Geneva Call decided to set up an office in the Philippines, in Cotabato City. In addition to the Philippines, the Admin, Finance and HR Officer is expected to provide support for the Thailand mission on a regular basis.


Under the supervision of the Head of Mission for the Philippines and Thailand, the Admin, Finance and HR Officer (Consultant) contributes to Geneva Call’s operations by ensuring that the financial, administrative and HR aspects of operations in the Philippines and Thailand are properly and transparently managed, according to the internal procedures and guidelines, donor requirements, as well as local legislation.

Main Qualifications

Main qualifications Experience in finance, admin and HR management Knowledge and experience of financial/admin/HR procedures and management tools; Experience with INGO grant management, financial reporting, budgeting, audit and procurement; Ability to take responsibility, proactive and efficient, strong communication skills; Ability to work in a multicultural environment; Understanding and respect for organizational principles, vision, mission and confidentiality; Accuracy and reliability; Completed higher education degree in relevant fields such as Public Accountancy, Public Administration or Human Resource Management Required: English and Tagalog IT Tools (MS Office, Excel, Accounting software, Reporting tools); Financial and Human Resource Management tools   Nice to have Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred fluency in local dialects such as Maguindanaoan, Bisaya, Ilonggo, Iranun, Maranao   Experience required At least 3 years in a similar position. Experience dealing with bilateral and multilateral donor funding Experience with international organisations is preferred
