Lorella Bertani

Board Member

Lorella Bertani, member of the Board, is a lawyer, member of the Geneva Bar, she has been acting as Deputy Judge of the Geneva Criminal Court since 2011. She has also been President of the Board of the “Grand Theatre” in Geneva since 2007. Before that, she also took many other responsibilities: she was a member of the High Judiciary Council, Member of the Admissions Board for the diplomatic service for eight years and first Vice-President of the Board of Geneva International Airport.

Philippe Bertherat

Board Member

Philippe Bertherat, member of the Board, is a former partner at Banque Pictet & Cie SA (1994-2014), collector of contemporary art and photography, and an active philanthropist. He also serves as the Chairman of the Mamco Foundation, which runs the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (Mamco) in Geneva and is a Member of the Sotheby's Council.

Micheline Calmy-Rey

Board Member

Micheline Calmy-Rey, Member of the Board. She was Switzerland's Foreign Minister as head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs. She was a member of the Swiss Federal Council from 2003 to the end of 2011, and was President of the Swiss Confederation in 2007 and again in 2011.

Aymar Durant de Saint André


Aymar Durant de Saint André a mené sa scolarité en France puis est entré à l’Ecole des HEC (Hautes Etudes Commerciales) à Jouy en Josas, dont il est diplômé (option Finance). Aymar Durant de Saint André a acquis une grande expérience financière internationale dans le domaine bancaire, successivement à Paris, Luxembourg et Genève, puis en tant que consultant International indépendant basé à Genève. Il a aussi acquis de par ses années d'activité dans le domaine financier  une importante expérience juridique y compris en droit international. Au cours de sa carrière il a principalement travaillé dans le domaine bancaire mais également au Ministère des Finances à Paris, à la  Direction du Budget. En tant que consultant international il poursuit aujourd’hui des activités de conseil, de recherche et de mise en place de financements spécialisés pour des sociétés de services à l’industrie pétrolière

Ruth Flint

Board Member

Ruth Flint earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Relations in 1974 from the UHEI (today known as the Graduate Institute Geneva). She began her career working in the private sector and lived in New York for two years prior to joining the Swiss diplomatic service in 1978. She then served in various cities including Rome, Strasbourg (Council of Europe), Bern, Geneva (International Economic Organizations), and The Hague (Multilateral: The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons and International Tribunals). She also served as the ambassador of Switzerland to Sri Lanka and the Maldives, and then as the ambassador to Lebanon in 2014.

Jean Keller

Vice-Chairman of the Board

Jean Keller holds a degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Geneva and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania. He spent his entire career working in the financial services industry in Geneva, London, New York and Hong Kong. Since 2011 Jean Keller has been the CEO and a partner at QUAERO. He also serves on various boards of trustees and is the treasurer of the Martin Bodmer Foundation, one of the largest private libraries in Europe. In addition, he is involved in his local community as an elected official.

François Tissot

Board Member

François Tissot, member of the Board, studied Economics and Law and holds a degree in Commercial and Industrial Science and is qualified as an attorney-at-law. He is company director for several small and medium-sized companies in the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors. Until December 2008, he was the Director of the Chopard Group which he joined in 1999, and was board member of several of its companies. Before working in the watch-making industry, he was, for seven years, head of a company specialized in precious metals in La Chaux-de-Fonds.

Ruth-Gaby Vermot-Mangold

Board Member

Ruth-Gaby Vermot-Mangold, Member of the Board, holds a doctorate in ethnology and spent many years in Africa as a researcher and expert in development cooperation. She established and led the information, documentation and education centre for Third World studies in Switzerland and lectured at different Universities on politics of gender and development. From 1995 to 2007 Ruth-Gaby Vermot-Mangold was a member of the Swiss National Council and a member of the Council of Europe. Key aspects of her work are migration and refugee policies compatible with human rights, the fight against domestic violence, violence against children, trafficking in humans especially children, as well as organ trade. Ruth-Gaby Vermot-Mangold is the President and initiator of the association “1000 Women for the Nobel Peace Price 2005” which now became “Peace Women Across the Globe”.

Michel Veuthey

Board Member

Michel Veuthey, member of the Board, studied law in Geneva and Munich and holds a Doctorate in Law (Guerilla and Humanitarian Law).  He worked for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) from 1967 to 2000, in particular as a jurist, then as Head of the Division of International Organizations, General Delegate for Europe and North-America, Regional Delegate in Austral Africa and finally as the President of the Geneva International Friendships’ Circle.
