After four years of pressure, Geneva Call has decided to leave a conference on disarmament
15 November 2014
In a letter addressed to the Chairperson-designate, Geneva Call announced it would not attend the 2014 Meeting of the High Contracting Parties in Geneva to the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons. For four years, Geneva Call has been under pressure to leave the conference.
The United Nations Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons seeks to prohibit or restrict the use of certain conventional weapons which are considered excessively injurious or whose effects are indiscriminate.
