Geneva Call’s 2013 annual report is available

The report provides an update on Geneva Call’s activities over the past year. In 2013, Geneva Call engaged 48 armed non-State actors towards compliance with international humanitarian norms in 16 countries and territories. In addition to numerous other outcomes:
- 5 new signatures of Geneva Call‘s Deeds of Commitment were secured
- 9 additional armed non-State actors made similar undertakings or took measures to increase the protection of civilians
- All 24 signatories still active in 2013 were monitored on the implementation of the Deeds of Commitment
- Several thousand fighters were sensitized and/or trained on broad international humanitarian norms
