19 mars 2018
NGO ADVISOR has listed Geneva Call at 74th in its 2018 ranking of the world’s top 500 NGOs. Geneva Call differentiates itself as one of the only organizations developing a sustainable humanitarian dialogue on the protection of civilians with armed groups in contexts of conflict. Geneva Call’s capacity to innovate and its impact on the ground were the main drivers of its high ranking; in 2017, it ranked 85th.
“Year after year, our progression in this ranking not only shows how relevant our mandate is but also the increasing importance which the international community gives to developing a humanitarian dialogue with these kinds of actors,” said Alain Délétroz, Geneva Call’s Director General.
Every year, NGO ADVISOR researches, evaluates and ranks non-governmental organizations from around the world, highlighting the best in its Top 500 World NGOs list. It uses a checklist of 165 criteria to evaluate nominees’ work and rates them according to items such as impact, innovation, transparency and accountability.
