Geneva Call publishes a report entitled “Sources of law and socio-cultural norms in Mali, a tool for the protection of civilians”

Under its project to “Contribute to the consolidation of peace and the protection of civilians in Mali”, Geneva Call conducted a study into the convergences and divergences between sources of law, from the perspective of the protection of civilians. The added value of this report lies in the identification of indigenous cultural norms and values, which served as a starting point to formulate messages on the protection of civilians which would be best understood by the different actors and better anchored in the Malian culture.
